NOTE ON TRANSPORTATION

 

Our price is based on the group arriving at a given time (one flight). In the event that clients arrive at different flight times and require transfers from a different airport, additional transfer charges will apply. We apply the same for the departure date.

1.Day / FRANCE - ISTANBUL

Arrival at Istanbul airport, greeted by your English-speaking guide, transfer to your 5* hotel.


2.Day / ISTANBUL

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the historic heart of Istanbul. You will visit the Hagia Sophia, which marked the peak of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian's reign. A masterpiece of Byzantine art with its mosaics. The Blue Mosque with its six minarets, built between 1609 and 1616 for Sultan Ahmet I, and decorated inside with 21,403 Iznik tiles predominantly in blue. The Hippodrome, where sports, political, and cultural activities were held during Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman periods. Lunch. Visit to the Topkapi Palace, the residence of the Ottoman sultans from the late 15th to the mid-19th century. Dinner at a restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.


3.Day / ISTANBUL / ANKARA - 450 km

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to visit the Grand Bazaar and the "Egyptian Bazaar," the largest spice market where the colors and scents of the Silk Road still prevail. Lunch. OPTIONAL: Private boat trip on the Bosphorus, where you will enjoy the best views of Istanbul and most of its historic monuments. Along the strait and on both shores of the Bosphorus, you will discover the marble palaces of Dolmabahce and Beylerbeyi, beautiful wooden Ottoman villas called "yali" (waterside residences), medieval fortresses, etc. Departure for Ankara, located on the high Anatolian plateau. The ancient Angora, chosen by Mustapha Kemal Ataturk as the center of the national resistance, has been the Turkish capital since 1923. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.


4.Day / ANKARA CAPPADOCE

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the father of modern Turkey. Built from 1944 to 1953, the mausoleum takes the form of a temple surrounded by porticos carved from amber-colored stone. Lunch. Continuing to the volcanic region of Cappadocia in the heart of Central Anatolia across a plain where the salt lake shimmers. You will also explore one of the many Byzantine underground cities, a refuge for the locals between the 7th and 10th centuries. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.


5.Day / CAPPADOCE

Göreme National Park and Cappadocia Rock Sites, Avcilar. A day dedicated to discovering Cappadocia, a unique natural site in the world! The landscape, bristling with gigantic fairy chimneys, is enchanting! You will then discover Göreme, an open-air museum, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, housing several rock churches adorned with frescoes from the Byzantine period. You will then have the experience of an underground city, an ancient refuge for the locals. You will discover the splendid valleys of Avcilar and Guvercinlik, where countless fairy chimneys with surprising human and animal appearances stand, a fascinating journey through lunar landscapes and exceptional panoramic views. Optionally, you will have the opportunity for a hot air balloon flight to admire the fairy chimneys and unreal landscapes of this region. This unforgettable excursion alone is the highlight of this special trip! Finally, in the evening, you can attend a Turkish evening in a typical troglodyte setting, during which you will admire folklore and traditional dances (optional, with a supplement). Dinner and overnight at your hotel.


6.Day / CAPPADOCE PAMUKKALE

After breakfast, depart for Konya (240 km), where you will travel to the famous Silk Road, lined with numerous caravanserais. You will be amazed by the sublime landscapes of the high plateau of Central Anatolia. Photo stop at a Seljuk caravanserai. Arrival in Konya, the ancient capital of the Seljuk Turks, where you will visit the former convent of the Dervish Turners, now transformed into a museum, built by Mevlana, one of the fathers of Sufism. Continue to Pamukkale and lunch en route (420 km). Visit the natural site of Pamukkale, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will visit the famous "Cotton Castles," gleaming with brilliant whiteness, where the runoff from hot springs, saturated with limestone salts, has coated the cliffs. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.


7.Day / PAMUKKALE EPHESUS IZMIR

After breakfast, depart for Ephesus (180 km). The city of Artemis, the most famous ancient site in all of Turkey, the Street of the Courtesans, the famous Celsius Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Trajan Fountain, the splendid 24,000-seat theater, and the remains of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. In addition, this city was dear to the Apostle Paul, who stayed there for several years. Lunch in Selcuk. During the day, you will have the privilege of attending a leather fashion show where you will appreciate the quality of the items. Dinner and overnight at your 5* hotel in Izmir or Kusadasi.


8.Day / IZMIR / BURSA / ISTANBUL - 510 km

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire, located at the foot of ancient Mount Olympus (Uludag). Visit the Green Mosque and the Green Mausoleum, the tombs of the sultans of the Ottoman dynasty. Lunch. Continue to Istanbul by crossing the famous Osmangazi Bridge. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.


9.Day / FRANCE/ISTANBUL

Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to the airport. Assistance with check-in procedures and departure to France.
